• Aluminum - Usually a 48" x 96" sheet that can be cut and manufactured to meet customer sign design. Comes in mill finish, assorted standard colors and most common is white. Color is baked on at the factory and has a long resistance to the weather.

• Ballast - a power booster used to light up florescent bulbs or can also be a power reducer to light up LED lights.

• Coroplast - resemblance to cardboard but in a plastic format. with stands the rainwater. 1-2 year life, deteriates in the sun which lessens the life of the product. A less expensive alternative over aluminum. 
• CSR File Type - *.csr is a file type format from Coral Draw.

• Extruded Metal - Most aluminum sign box frames are design with extruded aluminum. Usually designed with a form style that gives regidity to the box frame.

• LED - stands for Light Emmiting Diode. The newest techonology in lighting products. Further enhancing the ability to make effient message display signs and allowing millions of color to display. LED has also allowed the improvment of houshold and business lighting fixtures further reducing our carbon footprint around the world. 
• Lexan - a poly carbonate material used to make sign faces. They also can be heated and formed to make many different products. It also has light defusion properties that allow the light inside a sign cabinet to distrubute evenly. Amonst other things it protects the electronic sign components inside from rainwater and holds the viynl stickers applied to display the customers business logo or information. 
• Laminated Vinyl - a clear over lamination process to help protect the printed color from fading and giving a longer life of materials. Available in Satin, Luster, Gloss and other type finishes.

• MDO - a wood panel substrate better known as signboard. Designed to withstand wet setting for long periods of time. Still a wood product it must be well prepared before placing in the elements.  
• Monument Sign - usually start at the ground level as a square box look. Sported by a concrete base and anchored. Most cities are falling back to this type sign.

• Neon - Specially hand crafted glass tubes to form lettering and shapes. Using vaccum and neon gas causing a bright various colored light to emit.

• PDF File Type - *.pdfis a file type format from Adobe Acrobat Reader. Allows cross platform between differnt type graphic design programs and other type software programs. 
• Photocell - a light sensor that will turn on the lighted sign lights after it starts getting dark.

• Substate - the substrate can be any type material used to apply paint, vinyl or wrap materials, etc. Substartes can be Signboard, Aluminum, MDO, Trailers, Cars, Lexan Panels, etc.
